Class I+II surge protection devices for photovoltaic systems
Class I+II surge protection devices for photovoltaic systems are designed to protect positive and negative busbars in PV systems against surge waves. These devices are installed at the transition point from protection zone LPZ 0 to 1 (in accordance with the IEC 1312-1 and EN 62305 standards).
Varistor sections connected between terminals L+, L- in PE are equipped with internal circuit breakers which disable the varistors in case of failure (overheating).
